Bahrami to quit Florida CIO job
Kimberly Bahrami has been the state's chief information officer since July 2002.
Florida Chief Information Officer Kimberly Bahrami on Feb. 4 said she would resign, effective Feb. 27.
Governor Jeb Bush formally appointed Bahrami as CIO in July 2002, although she had been acting state CIO since August 2001. Before coming to Florida, she worked on many federal information technology projects, and on several European IT programs for Science Applications International Corp.
While in Florida, Bahrami focused on citizen-centered services, particularly the state Web portal, MyFlorida.com. She also led the review of the state's IT investment processes and provided support to the critical infrastructure protection plan as a member of the Domestic Security Oversight Board.
Bahrami could not be reached for comment.
State officials did not immediately return inquiries about the search for a replacement.
