Ideas, tech sought for Joint Forces
Companies can submit proposals for engineering, R&D and tech services for the Joint Experimentation Program and Joint Futures Lab.
Joint Forces Command officials want companies to submit proposals by March 31 on engineering, technical services, and research and development for its Joint Experimentation Program and Joint Futures Lab.
The combatant command, located at Norfolk, Va., will devise a force in which military commanders, the services and coalition leaders work together to develop new warfighting concepts. It wants companies to suggest ideas in computer simulation engineering and support, joint force prototyping and deployment, and organizational support and strategic outreach, said a Feb. 25 Joint Forces Command statement.
The command plans to award the contract by June. The deal will cover one year with four one-year options.
Joint Forces Command officials later this year will issue the Joint Operations Concepts. The eagerly awaited document will detail the military's warfighting framework for the next 15 to 20 years.
