Old Dominion to support JFCOM
U.S. Joint Forces Command officials have awarded a $22 million contract to the Old Dominion University Research Foundation.
U.S. Joint Forces Command officials have awarded a contract potentially worth more than $22 million over five years to the Old Dominion University Research Foundation to support command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) initiatives.
The contract will support many of JFCOM's initiatives, including the Joint National Training Capability, the joint experimentation directorate's knowledge management program, and the command, control, communications and computers (C4) system's directorate, according to a statement released by JFCOM.
Old Dominion will also support work on the joint C4ISR Battle Center's Collaboration, Communications, Compression, Geospatial Information Fusion Systems program and the Joint Intelligence Directorate Multi-Sensor, Aerospace Joint ISR Capability Coalition program.
The contract provides engineering and technical support in the form of studies, technical analysis, and programmatic and technical assessments of the various programs.
The contract consists of a one-year base period, valued at $4.1 million, and four additional one-year options.
