Tad Anderson, the Office of Management and Budget's associate administrator for e-government and information technology, is returning to the private sector to join Dutko Government Markets of the Dutko Group Companies, a consulting group based in Washington, D.C.

"We're excited about him," said David Beightol, a principal at Dutko. "Someone of his caliber is a hard guy to find."

Dawn Meyerriecks, the long-time chief technology officer for the Defense Information Systems Agency, will be leaving the government at the end of this month to take a job in the private

sector.

Stephen McHale will step down from his post as deputy administrator at the Transportation Security Administration after 23 years of federal service.

Acting Defense Department comptroller and chief financial officer Larry Lanzillotta left to take a position at Northrop Grumman Corp.

Daniel Caprio Jr., appointed deputy assistant secretary for technology policy at the Commerce Department in May, was also named the department's chief privacy officer.

Paul Chan, who served as chief information officer for the Agriculture Department's Economic Research Service, has been tapped as the National Weather Service's new CIO.

Connecticut CIO Rock Regan, the longest serving state CIO, is stepping down Aug.1 after spending seven years in the job.
