Officials at the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Manpower and Reserve Affairs awarded 12 contracts late last week to provide support services to the Army's human resources community.

They awarded contracts Sept. 30 under the service's new multibillion-dollar HRSolutions program in four areas: administrative support services; personnel services and support; recruiting and retention support services; and studies and analyses. The program will make it easier for Army commanders to contract for human resources services while spending more time on their warfighting missions, said Maj. Elizabeth Robbins, an Army spokeswoman.

"HRSolutions provides commanders and managers a streamlined means for augmenting the existing uniformed and civilian workforce," according to an Oct. 1 Army statement.

Resource Consultants Inc. received contracts in three areas while BCP International Ltd. received them in two.
