HP names VP for fed biz

Joseph Farley, formerly director of Hewlett-Packard's Department of Defense Sales division, has been named vice president of federal sales for the Americas.

Joseph Farley, formerly director of Hewlett Packard's Defense Department Sales division, has been named vice president of federal sales for the Americas.

Farley was instrumental in securing HP's recent 10-year, $300 million outsourcing contract with the Defense Logistics Agency, according to company officials who announced his promotion. He has been with the company 14 years. He joined the company when HP acquired Apollo Computer, coming in as part of the acquired company.
