Cairo hires AOL veteran to lead communications, marketing

Cairo, a technical solutions provider to the government, has hired AOL veteran Bruce Milligan to lead its marketing and communications functions.

Milligan will assume responsibility for Cairo's branding program, lead the company's marketing and communications agencies, and begin staffing the department based on a new marketing strategy. Milligan reports to Cairo Chief Executive Officer Raymond Roberts.

Milligan recently was senior director of communications for AOL's corporate services groups. He also oversaw internal communications programs for the company's brand strategy and compliance programs. Milligan joined AOL after working as director of corporate communications at Redgate Communications.

He also worked in executive marketing positions at Internet start-up companies in Research Triangle Park, N.C., and has consulted on interactive marketing and communications solutions with business-to-business technology companies of all sizes.
