New business development executive to help nurture Quality Associates

Quality Associates, a provider of services and solutions for document management, imaging and archiving, has hired Michael Roerty as business development executive.

Roerty, who has about 20 years of sales and management experience, will oversee direct sales of Quality Associates' document management and conversion services and solutions to local, state and federal governments and organizations in regulated industries, such as accounting and finance.

As business development executive, Roerty will look for ways to grow the company's business and build relationships with the company's network of distributors, software manufacturers and resellers in the electronic document management industry. He will also manage sales of imaging software and products provided by Quality Associates' partner network, which includes Kofax, Visioneer and Kodak.

Before joining Quality Associates, Roerty was an account manager at Whitmont Legal Technologies, where he oversaw relationships with the Justice Department during a document management system project. Before that, Roerty was the lead account manager at Document Technologies, which develops custom document management systems for federal agencies, such as the Justice and Health and Human Services departments.
