The General Services Administration has appointed Jeffrey Kwiecinski as the agency's deputy chief of emergency response and recovery, effective Aug. 19.

He joins GSA's Office of Emergency Response and Recovery, which is responsible for consolidating agency resources into one central office and providing a new level of support and assistance to first responders, emergency workers and recovery teams.

Prior to his appointment, Kwiecinski was a senior financial management analyst for GSA's chief financial officer. In addition, he is a lieutenant colonel with the U.S. Army Reserve and a team chief for the Contingency Response Unit at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' headquarters.
