TechTeam Government Solutions names three VPs

The company, a wholly owned subsidiary of TechTeam Global, is pushing business development.

Prior to joining TechTeam, Mears was vice president for business development at NewVectors, which was acquired by TechTeam Government Solutions June 1. Before joining Altarum -- the former ultimate parent company to NewVectors -- in 2002, he was vice president for customer services at Intersect Software. Previously, Mears spent 15 years at EDS.Barboza joined TechTeam Government Solutions in June 1999 as vice president of business development and was responsible for the development and acquisition of new business within the federal, state and local government markets. Prior to joining TechTeam, Barboza worked at CTA. In addition, Barboza worked as a software developer at Grumman Data Systems, SAIC and Sterling Systems.Pietrocini has 21 years' experience supporting government and commercial customers with IT; command, control, communications and computers and intelligence; and information assurance consulting services. Before starting RL Phillips in 1998, he was director of federal programs at TriTeal. Pietrocini has also held senior management roles at Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin and Athena Systems.

TechTeam Government Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of TechTeam Global, announced today three appointments and promotions:

  • Gary Mears has been appointed senior vice president of business development. He will be responsible for business development, sales operations, marketing and communications.

  • Paul Barboza has been promoted to vice president of the Federal Solutions Division. He will be responsible for maintaining the division's quality of current services and integrating new services for customers.

  • Jim Pietrocini has been appointed vice president of business development. Prior to joining TechTeam, Pietrocini was founder and chief executive officer of RL Phillips, which was acquired by TechTeam Aug. 31.
