Letter: NSPS fails to compensate employees fairly

A reader says DOD needs to admit its failure and return to the GS system

Regarding “DOD civilian workers to get performance paychecks tomorrow”: The Defense Department has failed at its promise to its employees and Congress to create a fairer and more flexible pay system. The personnel office now needs to admit its failure and return to the honest GS system.

We received bigger bonuses under the old system, and our pay counted in our retirement pay. The new personnel system repeats the same old rhetoric over and over as if repeating lies will make their reality true. Look at any remaining GS employee and compare payouts, and learn for yourself which system was REALLY more fair and honest. The National Security Personnel System is the largest failure in modern government to compensate its employees fairly.
