FCW Insider: Dee Lee joins Compusearch
We've all been waiting.When Deidre Lee retired earlier this year, many people wondered where she would end up. Well, your questions are answered.Lee told me this morning that she is going to join , a privately held company that "provides enterprise software and services that automate mandated business rules for public sector organizations with authority to spend, grant, or move funds." The company says that its PRISM software "is the most widely adopted federal acquisition and grants management system with over 33,000 authorized users in more than 75 organizations across the civilian, intelligence, and defense sectors." The company is owned by Carlyle Venture and Growth Partners.Lee had a number of offers. And even though I'm on vacation this week, I will always take Lee's calls. I asked her why she selected Compusearch. She said that she continues to believe in the mission of government and that the company was focused on helping the government accomplish its mission.Lee, of course, is one of the , as we noted in .I clearly don't get out enough because I don't know Compusearch all that well, but they have a lot of names that we all know. Quoted in the Compusearch release below is Charles Rossotti, who is one of the legends in our world -- one of the founders of AMS who went on to be IRS Commissioner. Ms. Lee comes to Compusearch with three decades of government experience and is one of the best known federal acquisition executives. Most recently, Ms. Lee was the Director of Management and Chief Acquisition Officer for Federal Emergency Management Agency. She has also served as Assistant Commissioner of Integrated Technology Services for the Government Services Administration’s Federal Acquisition Service, Director of Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy at the Department of Defense, Administrator for the Office of Federal Procurement Policy at the Office of Management and Budget, and the Associate Administrator for Procurement at the National Aerospace and Science Administration.
