Seager launched a partnership between the federal government and the private sector that led to the Hyperion Collaboration, a first-of-its-kind consortium that provides a test bed for high-performance computing.
Seager focuses on the challenges of peta-scale systems, simulation environments and applications development strategies. The computing clusters developed through the Hyperion Collaboration have increased computing bandwidth, decreased computing costs, lowered power consumption and increased overall information technology performance at the National Nuclear Security Administration.
