Ted Manakas joins Topside Consulting

Ted Manakas has joined Topside Consulting Group as an executive consultant, the company announced today.

Manakas is leaving his position as vice president of strategic capture at Perot Systems. At Topside, Manakas will help clients better manage their resources to engage their government customers and ultimately win contracts, which is named the capture strategy. He will work mainly in the telecommunications field, said Bob Woods, president of Topside.

The capture strategy is an overall approach to winning a contract. It works in tandem with the company’s program managers, who are working on the details of the proposal, Woods said.

Manakas has experience helping companies develop and then use ways to improve their divisions such as business development and marketing arms and its technical divisions, Woods said.

“He’s learned many lessons during his experience with various organizations, so he has something to share with clients,” Woods said.
