Report: Leeds designated GSA's acting chief
Federal News Radio's Chris Dorobek is reporting today that Stephen Leeds has been designated acting administrator for the General Services Administration.
Stephen Leeds is the General Services Administration’s new acting administrator. The Obama administration has chosen Leeds to replace current Acting Administrator Paul Prouty. GSA officials confirmed the appointment, first reported by the Dorobek Insider.
President Barack Obama reportedly has accepted the resignation of GSA Acting Administrator Paul Prouty and designated Leeds, who has been serving as senior counsel to the administrator, pending Senate confirmation of Martha Johnson as GSA administrator.
Federal Computer Week’s Matthew Weigelt reported on Dec. 18 that Leeds was the likely choice for acting administrator. Prouty, who has served as acting administrator for nearly a year, wants to return home to Denver, Weigelt reported.
