Government agency reorganization plan sent to Obama

The Office of Management and Budget sent its government reorganization plan with a focus on helping U.S. entrepreneurs to President Barack Obama on June 9.

A plan on how to reorganize federal agencies sent to President Barack Obama on June 9 by the Office of Management and Budget should help entrepreneurs seeking to expand businesses and create jobs, reports Federal News Radio.

Ideas for the plan were solicited from current and past agency leaders and front line employees as well as advice from businesses, outside experts, members of Congress and their staff members to determine what will work and to identify “where duplication and fragmentation exist…” OMB Spokeswoman Moira Mack said in an e-mail message.

In his 2011 State of the Union address, Obama called for the first major reorganization since 2003 to focus on agencies that deal with trade, exports and economic competitiveness, the news report noted.
