DARPA director leaving
DARPA Director Regina Dugan has accepted a senior executive position with an Internet giant, according to an exclusive report by Wired's Danger Room.
Regina Dugan, director of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, is leaving to take a senior executive position at Google, according to an exclusive report on March 12 in Wired magazine's Danger Room blog.
A DARPA spokesman confirmed the move, according to the report.
Dugan became DARPA’s director in July 2009. Her role in DARPA contracts awarded to RedX Defense, a firm she co-founded, recently came under question, according to news reports. However, her spokesman told Danger Room that discussion had no impact on her decision to leave.
