Moskovitz moves on at Accenture

Accenture’s U.S. federal subsidiary has promoted current Chief Operating Officer John Goodman to the CEO post, where he will succeed David Moskovitz in a move slated to take effect Nov. 20.

Moskovitz, who was FCW's 2017 Industry Eagle Award winner, will stay with Accenture Federal Services through Aug. 31 of next year to help with the transition and lead innovation-focused initiatives. He will then take up a senior managing director with Accenture at the corporate level, the company said.

Moskovitz also won GCN's 2015 Industry Executive of the Year, and Accenture Federal Services was recognized by Washington Technology in October for its first annual Washington Technology Industry Innovator awards this year for “Best Use of Acquisitions.”

Goodman is a two-decade veteran of Accenture and has been COO of its Arlington, Va.-based federal arm for almost five years. Formerly head of the defense and intelligence business, Goodman led AFS on an interim basis in late 2012 and became its COO shortly after Moskovitz was appointed CEO.
