CSC unit achieves CMMI Level 3 rating

The ratings signify the degree to which an organization has linked its management and engineering practices to its business objectives.

Computer Sciences Corp.'s Enforcement, Security and Intelligence division has earned the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model Integration Level 3 rating, according to a CSC announcement today.

CMMI ratings, which range from 1 to 5, signify the degree to which an organization has linked its management and engineering practices to its business objectives, and established a framework for ongoing performance improvement.

"Our focus is to continually improve operational productivity and efficiency to best deliver the services and solutions our clients seek," Jose Jimenez, president of the division, said in a statement.

The division provides systems integration, managed services, security solutions and other mission-specific offerings to public-sector clients involved in national security. It is part of CSC's Federal Sector business unit.
