Obama picks Guthrie for ODNI CIO
Priscilla Guthrie served as the Defense Department's deputy chief information officer from 2001 to 2006.
President Barack Obama announced today that he intends to nominate Priscilla Guthrie to be the Office of the Director of Intelligence’s (ODNI) new chief information officer.
In that role, she would serve as the intelligence community’s chief information technology executive and would play a key role in efforts to integrate the sixteen intelligence agencies’ IT systems. Sherrill Nicely has been acting CIO since Feb. 23. Dale Meyerrose, the office's official CIO, resigned last fall.
Guthrie currently works as director of the Information Technology and Systems Division at the Institute for Defense Analyses, a non-profit that runs federally funded research and development centers. She served as the Defense Department’s deputy CIO from 2001 to 2006.
