FBI's Dubree named assistant director of IT
Daniel Dubree is responsible for the operations of the bureau's information technology systems worldwide.
The FBI has announced the promotion of Daniel Dubree to assistant director of the bureau's Information Technology Operations Division.
Dubree replaced Louis Blazy, who has retired. The division’s assistant director is responsible for operations and maintenance of the FBI's IT systems worldwide, bureau officials said in a statement released July 20 announcing his appointment.
The bureau listed numerous senior positions that Dubree has held at the FBI, including several that involved IT management.
In 1984, he began work as a computer programmer at the FBI’s Technical Services Division. From January 2007 through September 2008, Dupree served as deputy program manager for Sentinel — the six-year, $451 million project to update the bureau’s investigative case management system. Dubree was named deputy assistant director of the Information Technology Operations Division in August 2008.
His biography on the FBI Web site states that he has served in his new capacity since February.
