GSA preps technology integration program for new DHS headquarters
The General Services Administration is encouraging vendors on the Alliant contract to bid for the IT-related work that is part of the $3.4 billion project at DHS' new headquarters.
The General Services Administration (GSA) will hold an industry day Oct. 26 to discuss the government’s needs – including information technology integration services – for building the Homeland Security Department’s new headquarters in Washington, GSA said in a notice published Oct. 16.
The new headquarters, located on the campus of St. Elizabeths Hospital, will consolidate many of DHS’ 40-plus locations in the Washington area. Officials broke ground on the $3.4 billion headquarters project last month.
GSA specifically encouraged contractors on the Alliant governmentwide acquisition contract to attend the event. The Alliant GWAC is a multiple award contract that includes a broad range of IT services.
“This event will give the Alliant Industry Partners insight into the information technology integration and implementation services required to accomplish the objectives for the DHS St. Elizabeths Technology Integration Program,” the notice states.
