Federal 100: Philip Letowt

Philip Letowt
Chief Technology Officer
Immigration and Customs Enforcement

Letowt’s work at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency has contributed to the Homeland Security Department’s progress on data architecture and information sharing.

Letowt is leading ICE’s adoption of the National Information Exchange Model and has been instrumental in fostering NIEM adoption governmentwide. DHS is using the model to allow ICE to share information with some local law enforcement agencies.

“From a technology architecture perspective, ICE has a clear vision of where it is going, and Philip Letowt is providing the leadership to make it happen,” said Richard Spires, DHS’ chief information officer. “He not only brings a solid understanding of technology and architecture but has a way of conveying concepts that drive understanding and consensus.”
