DHS cyber office director leaves government

The National Cyber Security Division director will leave her post near the end of January.

The Homeland Security Department's National Cyber Security Division is losing its director to the private sector, Federal News Radio reports.

Nicole Dean said she will leave her position Jan. 22, informing her staff in an e-mail message.  Federal News Radio reports that she has accepted a position at Raytheon, though the company did not confirm.

Dean has extensive experience in Defense Department IT, having previously worked at Defense Information Systems Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency and the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense Information Infrastructure, according to her LinkedIn profile. She also previously worked in the private sector at CSC.
