Justice Department to get new CIO

Former ICE CIO takes new role.

Luke McCormack is the Justice Department’s new chief information officer, the department announced on Feb. 3.

McCormack has been the CIO at the Homeland Security Department’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency since 2005.

Previously, he served in infrastructure services at the DHS Customs and Border Protection agency and has held several positions in the private sector with MCI, Ford Aerospace and other firms.

At DOJ, Eric Olson has been serving as acting CIO and deputy assistant attorney general for information resource management since August 2011, following the departure in July of former Justice CIO Vance Hitch, who had served in that position since 2002.
