The impact: Under Schaffer’s leadership, DHS has been at the forefront of securing the government’s move to several critical new technology platforms.

The nuts and bolts: Schaffer led DHS’ support of continuous monitoring capabilities across government. He also helped facilitate the launch of the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program for cloud computing and led the interagency planning for the next generation of wireless broadband emergency communications for law enforcement and first responders.
