“The Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program is a dynamic approach to fortifying the cybersecurity of government networks and systems.” DHS has taken a three-step phased approach to rolling out its Continuous Monitoring and Mitigation (CDM) program, so as not to overwhelm US government departments and agencies. The CDM program is going to require greater cooperation between the US Department or Agency office of the CIO, CISOs in particular, and the Director of (facility) Security to join forces to provide a safe environment for the government to accomplish its mission.
