Federal IT leaders are under pressure to move their agencies to the cloud to meet mandates and improve operational efficiency. It’s a big step. Any cloud migration involves data management, and most agencies have massive data stores to manage, organize and, most importantly, ensure security.
In this live webcast, Francisco Salguero, deputy chief information officer of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, will share his cloud security experiences. This includes not only with leading one of government’s largest departments onto the cloud, but also being one of the first to utilize the IT Modernization Centers of Excellence. USDA recently became the first federal department to pilot the Centers of Excellence, which is run by the General Services Administration. One of USDA’s five centers is focused on cloud computing.
