Automating Workloads to Drive Mission Outcomes

Using robotic process automation (RPA) to automate workflows can improve efficiency, increase workforce engagement and produce better mission outcomes. Machine learning (ML) and enterprise data lake (EDL) infrastructure can overcome limitations of human analysis and bridge gaps in legacy "data silos," bolstering predictive analytics and the understanding of end-to-end business processes. And introducing fully automated digital workers into a production environment allows for reallocation of scarce resources to higher priority tasks.

Our guest speakers will explore an Army organization's journey to develop ML and RPA capabilities, navigate deployment challenges, solve operational problems and attain mission goals. The webcast will also provide a clear sense of how the automation of work processes has a discernible impact.

Topics to be covered include a five-phase plan for standing up a digital workforce, including:

  • Market research
  • Vetting vendors
  • Developing a pilot
  • Moving RPA into production
  • Scaling up

Invited to speak:

  • Colonel Ronald D. “Dave” Brown currently serves as Chief of Staff, Joint Munitions Command , Rock Island, Illinois
  • Steve Taylor, Director of Information Management for the Joint Munitions Command
