As federal agencies have embraced agile software development, many have struggled to expand their initial DevSecOps efforts across the enterprise. Solutions and strategies that supported pilot efforts often don’t scale, especially as the security requirements continue to expand and evolve.
To support DevSecOps at government scale, many of these organizations are building out software factories -- suites of tools and services to standardize and streamline development, along with the specialized personnel to leverage them. The goal is a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline with a Continuous Authority to Operate.
