Delivering daily economic reports to Brazil's Minister of Finance was, at one time, the labor of seven financial analysts and several hours of work. The reports inform policy - and decision-making, and the data used to compile the reports - in excess of 30GB - flows from multiple repositories and disparate systems. The Ministry of Economy and Finance of Brazil turned to Automation Anywhere to combine data from three main sources (a data warehouse, a Web application, and Excel) to generate economic policy reports, surplus reports, profit and loss statements, and the Brazil Statement of Financial Position report. Post automation, the financial analysis team produces those reports in about one hour, a savings of 150 labor hours each month.
