July 1998: Electronic Posting System pilot begins.

October 1998: GSA starts to use EPS; drafts plan to take it governmentwide.

DOD starts to test its DOD Business Opportunities site.

July 1999: OMB reports that since the EPS pilot began, nearly 11,000

postings from more than 2,300 registered EPS users have been placed on the

system. Nearly 17,000 vendors have signed up.

August 1999: EPS has registered about 25,000 vendors.

May 2000: GSA reports that at least 14 agencies are using EPS. Announces

it will post federal grant information on EPS by October.
