EDS Federal picks new president
Albert Edmonds will replace William Dvoranchik, who is retiring after 30 years with the company
Electronic Data Systems Corp. announced today it is naming Albert Edmonds president of its federal division, overseeing all the company's business with the federal government.
He will replace William Dvoranchik, who is retiring after 30 years with the company.
The two men were instrumental in helping EDS win the Navy Marine Corps Intranet contract, worth potentially $6.9 billion and the largest-ever IT service contract in the federal government.
Edmonds has been vice president in charge of EDS' Global Government Industry Group. He previously served as vice president and chief operating officer of EDS Federal from October 1998 to December 1999.
He is a retired Air Force lieutenant general and was director of the Defense Information Systems Agency.
