Albert Edmonds will be the next president of Electronic Data Systems Corp.'s federal division.

Albert Edmonds will be the next president of Electronic Data Systems Corp.'s federal division, the company announced March 30. He will replace William Dvoranchik, who is retiring after 30 years with the company.

Edmonds has been vice president in charge of EDS' Global Government Industry Group. He previously served as vice president and chief operating officer of EDS Federal from October 1998 to December 1999.

Sherrie Floyd, an Army civilian assigned to the Wiesbaden Community Library in Germany, accepted the Federal Library and Information Center Committee's top individual award for 2000 at the Library of Congress March 27. She earned the award for establishing two libraries in Bosnia.

The committee also selected Carlynn Thompson, a research director for the Defense Technical Information Center, as a second 2000 Federal Librarian of the Year award winner for her leadership in promoting federal information sharing on the Web.
