Three Booz-Allen workers killed
Employees were briefing a client at the Pentagon when hijacked jet plunged into the building
Three Booz-Allen & Hamilton Inc. employees who were briefing a client at the Pentagon on Tuesday morning died when a hijacked passenger jet crashed into the military facility, a company spokeswoman said Sept. 13.
The three men were identified as Gerald Fisher, 57, a principal at the technology consulting firm, Terence Lynch, 49, and Ernest Willcher, 62, both associates. They were at the Pentagon briefing an Army client when the disaster occurred. About 30 other Booz-Allen employees also in the building escaped harm.
Other Defense contractors said they have accounted for all of their employees who were in the building at the time of the terrorist attack Sept. 11.
A spokeswoman for Electronic Data Systems Corp. said more than 60 EDS employees were at the Pentagon, most of them working on the Navy Marine Corps Intranet project, when the incident occurred. Four were treated for injuries and released.
Lockheed Martin Information Support Services had more than 300 employees at the Pentagon at the time of the crash, but none were near the scene, according to a spokesman.
