Roster Change

Larry Singer, Georgia's chief information officer and head of the Georgia Technology Authority, announced he would resign Dec. 9.

Singer said his notable achievements included the creation of a new state portal and his work with the Converged Communications Outsourcing Project (CCOP), which will modernize the state's information systems.

He also was an active member of the National Association of State Chief Information Officers.

J. Victor Lebacqz has been named deputy associate administrator for the Office of Aerospace Technology at NASA headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Lebacqz previously was associate director for aerospace programs at NASA's Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, Calif.

In his new position, Lebacqz will assist in developing integrated, innovative agency-level technology for aeronautics and space. Lebacqz will also assist in developing new commercial partnerships that exploit technology breakthroughs.

The Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) on Nov. 25 announced the election of a new chairman and vice chairman:

* Roy Haggerty, president and chief information officer of Ajilon Consulting and Communications, was elected to the position of ITAA chairman of the board.

* W. David Sanders, senior vice president of BearingPoint Inc. (formerly KPMG Consulting Inc.), was elected as vice chairman.

CACI International Inc. on Dec. 2 announced that executive vice president Carson Morris has been elected to the board of directors of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers (AFIO).

Morris, CACI's director of homeland defense initiatives, works closely with senior management in focusing the company's response to federal needs in the fight against terrorism.

The AFIO is a nonprofit association of former intelligence professionals and supporters. Its principal objective is to promote a strong national intelligence/counterintelligence establishment capable of responding to the threats of the new defense era.
