Roster Change

Robert Bonner, formerly the Customs Service commissioner, has become the first commissioner of the new Bureau of Customs and Border Protection (BCBP). He will report to Asa Hutchinson, undersecretary for border and transportation security.

Additionally, 20 interim directors for field operations have been appointed for BCBP, which became operational March. 1

"This is the first and most important step in a long process," Hutchinson said. "As we implement our plans, we will fully integrate the work of the agencies that now make up BCBP and, in doing so, create a single face of government at the border."

The interim directors will work out of the 20 Customs Management Centers, as follows:

Craig Hendrickson has joined Conquest Systems Inc. as senior vice president, the company announced Feb. 24.

He will have strategic oversight of Conquest Systems' business development, marketing and sales efforts. Conquest Systems, a software solutions company and leader in the Web applications development industry, helps federal agencies solve complex problems through repeatable business processes.

Hendrickson has more than 30 years of experience directing government sales efforts and business initiatives at such companies as Unisys Corp. and Sperry Corp.
