Parkes leaving FEMA for Energy

Rose Parkes goes from one CIO job to another.

Rose Parkes will leave her position as chief information officer of the Federal Emergency Management Agency to take the same post at the Energy Department.

Parkes' last day at FEMA will be Oct. 17, according to FEMA spokeswoman Debbie Wing.

Parkes, who has been FEMA's CIO since Septmember 2002, will fill Energy's CIO position that was formerly held by Karen Evans. Evans left Energy to become administrator of the Office of Management and Budget's Office of E-Government and Information Technology.
