Deepwater floats new site
The team responsible for renovating the U.S. Coast Guard fleet launched a site to provide information.
The team responsible for the billion-dollar renovation of the U.S. Coast Guard fleet launched a new Web site this week to provide information and access for the Integrated Deepwater System program.
Integrated Coast Guard System LLC launched www.teamdeepwater.com to be a comprehensive site containing program updates, news releases and a calendar of important events. The site will also allow for online registration for potential Deepwater industry suppliers.
"Working with the Coast Guard, we created an online resource for existing and future Deepwater suppliers, the media, other government agencies and anyone interested in knowing more about this exciting and far-reaching public/private partnership," said Margaret Mitchell-Jones, ICGS communications director.
The Deepwater program is a multibillion dollar, performance-based investment to revamp the Coast Guard's fleet of ships and aircraft and important on-land command and communication centers. Along with renovated physical assets, the program is also modernizing the Coast Guard's information technology in the Command, Control, Communications and Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance systems.
The Integrated Coast Guard System team is a partnership between Lockheed Martin Corp. and Northrop Grumman Corp. ICGS was awarded the Deepwater contract in June 2002.
