OMB names IT policy chief

Schlarman will take post vacated by Chenok

Glenn R. Schlarman, a long time policy analyst at the Office of Management and Budget, has been tapped to replace Dan Chenok as chief of the information technology policy branch, OMB officials confirmed.

Most recently, Schlarman has been the Energy Department's associate chief information officer for cybersecurity. Prior to his tenure at Energy, he was a policy analyst specializing in cyber-security at OMB's Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs.

OMB officials did not have a date when Schlarman will officially join OMB.

He will replace Dan Chenok, who left his OMB post late last year to join SRA International Inc.
