New Deepwater site sets sail

Coast Guard modernization depends on new ships and new technology.

The team responsible for the billion-dollar renovation of the Coast Guard fleet launched a new Web site earlier this year to provide information and access for the Integrated Deepwater System.

Integrated Coast Guard Systems, a joint venture between Lockheed Martin Corp. and Northrop Grumman Corp., intends for the Web site to offer program updates, news releases and a schedule of important events. The site will also provide online registration for potential Deepwater industry suppliers.

"Working with the Coast Guard, we created an online resource for existing and future Deepwater suppliers, the media, other government agencies and anyone interested in knowing more about this exciting and far-reaching public/private partnership," said Margaret Mitchell-Jones, the firm's communications director.

The new site can be found at www.teamdeepwater.com.
