Warren “Rusty” Asher, a longtime public affairs specialist at the Office of Personnel Management, was found murdered in his Washington home late last month.Asher handled information about the agency’s e-government and IT programs.After Asher, 57, did not show up for work for three days, his OPM colleagues went to his apartment in northwest Washington and asked the building’s management to check on him. When they did, they found Asher dead, according to published reports.The Washington medical examiner ruled Asher had been strangled. The city’s police said they are still investigating the case but have no suspects or leads.
