Ciber will host Cleveland's Web portal

Ciber will host and manage Cleveland’s government Web portal and associated Web sites, part of a project that will also strengthen the security of the city's sites.
The initial phase of the project will involve moving the city’s Web sites to Ciber’s managed services facility. The company will also conduct a security assessment and provide intrusion-detection services, according to a spokeswoman.
In the second phase of the project, Ciber will assess the current features of Cleveland’s Web sites and provide recommendations.
The Cleveland project is Ciber’s second municipal Web project in as many months. In September, the company helped launch the Web portal for Eugene, Ore., which lets city residents pay parking tickets, register for recreational programs and conduct other business online.
For the Cleveland project, Ciber has teamed with two local companies: SCK Design and Mid-America Consulting Group. SCK is a graphic design firm, and Mid-America offers consulting services on e-commerce and related systems.
