ManTech to secure Joint Strike Fighter

ManTech International will continue providing security services to the Air Force’s Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) program under a new contract.

The company has been providing security for the JSF since 2001, but the earlier contract had expired. ManTech won the new one in a competition, according to the company.

Under the new contract, ManTech will provide physical security, information security, technology assessment and systems security engineering, according to the company. The JSF security pact could be worth as much as $27.5 million if the Air Force exercises all of its options. The fighter will be used by the Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps, in addition to eight foreign partners.

ManTech provides security services to other agency customers, but JSF stands out as the only major military hardware program for which the company offers such services, according to a company spokesman.

The company’s security-related services include enterprise security architecture, information assurance and network and critical infrastructure protection.
