The Internal Revenue Service announced yesterday the names of seven new members of its Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee.

The newly appointed members are:

  • Chandra Bhansali, president and co-founder at AccountantsWorld.com, Hauppauge, N.Y.

  • Karen Botvin, senior manager at Vanguard Group, Investor Tax Services, Malvern, Pa.

  • Holly Carlin, owner of Holly A. Carlin CPA, Park City, Utah

  • Erica Dinner, assistant director of Tax Information Reporting at Hartford Life Insurance Company, Simsbury, Conn.

  • Edward Jennings, corporate tax manager at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich.

  • Samuel Kerch, controller/senior tax research analyst at Symmetry Software, Scottsdale, Ariz.

  • Alice Faye Touchet, principal of Faye Touchet, Lafayette, La.
  • The committee has 17 members who represent various segments of the information reporting program community, from major national professional and trade associations to state tax agencies.

    The committee provides a public forum for discussing relevant tax administration issues between IRS officials and representatives of the public. Committee members offer recommendations and suggestions on issues intended to improve information reporting programs.
