Lockheed tops DOD prime contractors

The company received $19.4 billion in 2005.

Lockheed Martin is the Defense Department’s top prime contractor for fiscal 2005 receiving $19.4 billion, according to a new DOD report released today.

Lockheed leads Boeing, which accumulated $18.3 billion in DOD prime contracts, and Northrop Grumman, which totaled $13.5 billion. DOD prime contract awards topped $269.2 billion in 2005, $38.5 billion more than in 2004.
