SeaPort-e adds TranTech
The company and its team will provide modeling, systems and software engineering, and other services under the Navy's 10-year, IDIQ contract vehicle.
TranTech, an information technology solutions provider to government agencies, has won a prime contract award on the Navy’s SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) multiple-award contract vehicle.
SeaPort-e is a 10-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity multiple-award contract vehicle the Navy expects will procure as much as $5.3 billion in services each year. It provides engineering, technical and programmatic support services to Navy facilities.
SeaPort-e started in 2004 with more than 100 contracts awarded. The Navy has since added other contractors under a rolling admissions program.
The most recent group of awards, made last month, included SI International as a prime contractor.
TranTech and its team of contractors will provide modeling; systems engineering, design and development; software engineering; IT support; supply and provisioning; training; and administrative support, according to a company statement.
TranTech also plans to use the contract to expand its Navy and Marine Corps business to other commands and activities within the service, said TiTi McNeill, the company’s president and chief executive officer.
TranTech’s SeaPort-e team includes SRA International, Alcatel Government Solutions, Ajilon Consulting, Texel/SPL, QualTech, AIPS Engineering, Lunarline, Veterans Enterprise Technology Solutions, Salamatof Technology, BNF Technologies and Idea Integration. The team's focus is the National Capital, Mid-Atlantic, Gulf Coast and Southwest zones.
Financial terms of the contract were not reported.
