ConceptSolutions names new business chief

Harry Thomas Newman will specialize in DOD intelligence contracts for the information management and technology consulting company.

Before he came to General Dynamics, Newman served as a business development specialist at BTG from 1995 to 1998. Before that, he was a program support specialist at Bell Atlantic, where he was assigned to the Advanced Technology Demonstration Network.

ConceptSolutions, an information management and technology consulting company serving commercial, government and military organizations, has named Harry Thomas Newman director of business development. He will be specializing in Defense Department intelligence contracts.

During Newman’s 12-year career in the DOD Intelligence Information Systems community, he has helped companies secure contract awards totaling more than $5.5 billion, according to a company statement released today.

Since 1998, Newman has led the business development efforts at General Dynamics Information Technology, where he was responsible for securing contracts.

The contracts included:

  • The Counterintelligence Field Activity, worth $7 million.
  • The Defense Intelligence Agency’s Human Intelligence Operational Communications Network, worth $12 million.
  • The preservation of existing Intelligence Information, Command and Control, Equipment and Enhancements business base, valued at $12 million.

Newman earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Marymount University in 1994.
