SRA buys RABA Technologies

The purchase adds high-end technology services to SRA's offerings for the national security and intelligence communities.

SRA International has signed a definitive agreement to acquire RABA Technologies, a privately held provider of high-end technical services to the national security and intelligence communities.

According to an SRA announcement Oct. 4, RABA is a provider of software, systems integration and operational support for intelligence agencies. The companies did not disclose financial terms.

Founded in 1994 and based in Columbia, Md., RABA employs approximately 200 experts in mathematics, software and electrical engineering, high-performance computing infrastructure, storage management, disaster recovery, information security, Web development, and interactive technologies.

RABA generated revenue of approximately $60 million in the past year, SRA said.

Renny DiPentima, SRA’s president and chief executive officer, said, “Expansion throughout the intelligence community is a high priority for SRA, and RABA’s capabilities and client set will complement ours very effectively."

Commenting on the sale, Robert Baruch, RABA president and CEO, said the merger will allow SRA to expand into new areas of the market and continue delivering solutions of national significance.
