OPM wants more HR LOB services

In request for information, the Office of Personnel Management asks vendors to provide details on employee hiring services.

The Office of Personnel Management is looking for vendors to provide a second piece to the Human Resources Line of Business effort.In a request for information issued on the Federal Business Opportunities Web site July 30, OPM said it wants information on companies that could provide a standard approach to entrance on duty functions, which include human resources services for new employees or current feds who transfer from one agency to another.Responses are due Aug. 10.OPM wants vendors to describe how their software would perform six functions:The RFI comes as OPM and the General Services Administration are reviewing company bids to provide Human Resources Line of Business services through the Federal Supply Schedule program.OPM officials have said they hope to make a decision by the end of this month.
